Surprise! You've got PRINTER

Have you ever received something at your door and thought you received it by accident?  That is exactly how I felt when I opened my door to find a brand new printer from Epson.  It couldn’t have come at a better time.  The printer that had been a workhorse in my home office for the past 6 years was one of the first color laser printers on the market.  Huge, heavy, expensive and had recently begun jamming after every other printed page.  Slamming the paper tray in and out constantly was becoming a hassle, but I still had a few more $150 ink cartridges left that I didn’t want to waste.  Can you believe it - $150 EACH and the printer required 4 of them!  So, I was dying to get a new printer, but couldn’t justify it.  Enter in, my brand new Workforce 840 Epson printer.  I was thrilled to receive it!

 

I suddenly realized I would need to install in, which I am ashamed to say, I often leave up to my handy husband.  After several days of asking him to install in, I decided I would at least unpack it and get organized for the ‘big install.’  What I didn’t know was that the installation would take less than 15 minutes.  I was tired of having the old printer cord draped across my desk, but I assumed that the wireless feature would be complex to set up.  Boy was I wrong!  I was able to get the entire printer working wirelessly (and even scanned a document the following day!) by myself in just a few simple steps.  No more ugly printer cords dangling from my laptop that were always in my way.  There is also a mobile printing feature that enables me to print from my iphone – AMAZING! Clearly, I am not super technical – so all of this wireless stuff was a huge perk for me!

 

I also happen to be a mom, so it is important to me that a printer is quiet.  The Epson delivered.  I can print at all hours of the night without bothering anyone and the printer goes from standby to online very quickly without a long and loud printer grunting prequel!  Once it starts printing, it is very fast; 10 pages in 40 seconds.  The paper tray also holds a full ream of paper, so I don’t have to make extra noise by refilling the tray all the time.  Double sided printing is also an amazing feature and I have even been able to print high quality nearly full-bleed marketing documents that turn out beautifully on their premium paper that Epson included. 

 

I was also recently in a pinch to send Grandma a photo of the wee one – the Epson saved the day with a gorgeous photo printed quickly from the convenience of home on the Epson Premium Photo Glossy Paper.

As a successful business owner, I often forget about all of the things that enable me to complete all of my daily tasks.  When something stops carrying its weight (like my old printer!) it throws everything off balance and can be a huge hassle.  I am thrilled with my new printer and glad I can count on it to be part of my home office team once again.  Thank you Epson for making my home office once again complete!
